Mysorefoot.com started with ... MY sore foot. For over 15 years I had been successfully helping patients with their foot pain using my specialist biomechanical knowledge to get great results.

One day I woke up to find my right heel was burning. Trying to get my heel to the floor was excruciating, as I hobbled from room to room trying my best to function, feeling utterly miserable.

I could not walk any distance due to the intense burning, but the pain was generally worst after a period of rest when attempting to rise again. My youngest daughter was just under a year old, and the combination of maternity leave and COVID 19 lockdown became a catalyst for weight gain.

Imagine a structure which is under an abnormal load. It doesn't need to be a foot, it can be any type of structure. Let's look at one of my favourite structures - the Eiffel tower.

Now imagine one of those metal struts near the ground has become compromised in some way - it has changed shape, it has become tighter, or stretched out or weaker, just like what can happen to structures of your foot. Now think about increasing the load through those structures by adding a large amount of weight. What is going to happen?

The struts around it will take more of the strain and the whole structure may deform, putting stress higher up, as the alignment and forces change. This is just like the body. One of my first tasks was to lose weight, however this alone was not enough to resolve the pain in my sore foot.

It took around 9 months for the pain to fully subside, and the best results came from a combination of both stretching and suitably prescribed insoles.

Take a look at that foot model above. Take in all the different bones, muscles, tendons, nerves and joints - there's a lot to consider which means treating foot pain is considered a pretty complicated thing! Each foot contains 33 joints, 26 bones, and more than a hundred muscles, tendons, and ligaments that all work together to bear weight. There is a lot that can go wrong!

That's why I developed an online test which provides an insight into the origins and influences of your foot pain, helping to find a solution.

Take the test now to see your options and make your feet happy! ☺️
